5 Spring/ Summer 2023 Trends Alert.
_____________
After Fashion Week in Milan and Paris, I noted down some trends that I have seen all over the runways. For Spring/ Summer 2023 styles I have selected 4 key fashion trends to incorporate into the wardrobe. If you want to be ahead of others and know what designers prepared for us then this article is perfect for you.
On the runways, designers as always surprised us with some new bold styles, but there were also a lot of revisited trends. A new approach to trends that were popular in the 80s. For example, women in cargo pants with many pockets will not surprise anyone this upcoming season. Most designers followed this trend and added their signature touch to it. These casual trousers were paired with a tool belt or a cropped top. A look is taken from the handyman to Chanel runway. Perhaps this is the answer to the global economy and current world situation, but we will see it everywhere. For glamour and elegant adopters, there are modern intakes on the Hollywood era, Greek goddess and column silhouette. I could also spot a lot of liquid gold pieces and neon colours. As always a lot of classics: all black, white or beige looks. There are 3-D flowers, fringes and see-through designs. All designs are created to excite us and bring positive energy for the Spring/ Summer Season.
So if you want to get ahead of the game follow these 4 styles spotted in the capitals of fashion.

3D Flowers and the new Flower Power
In Spring/ Summer 2023 Florals are back and they are much bigger than we are used to it. There is a new twist on bouquets and tropical flowers like in the Off-White collection. There is a giant anthurium attached to the garments ( I saw that at Loewe) and delicate prints even on the hats seen at Leonard Paris runway. Or as seen at Bottega Veneta where designer transformed simple garments into blossoming works of art.
Every designer puts a signature spin on the floral trend but all have one thing in common. Designs are big and theatrical to create the maximum impression and impact. They are colourful and feminine, and above all, they are mood boosters after the cold and long winter months. Very often they are 3-D, sticking out from the clothes or taking over the whole outfit, seen on shoes and handbags too. The ultimate motto is to stand-out and designers achieved it.

Fringes.
This season fringes are brought up to a new level. It’s no anymore associated with a suede jacket or a bohemian style. This season fringes are added to the sophisticated and elegant designs. They embellish pristine dresses, classic capes, officewear and handbags. Everything that looks chic can be adorned with fringes. They are fun, and textural and add more movement to any look. They can adorn even the most sophisticated pieces. If you want to look chic and effortless then choose some pieces with fringe, you will surely make an impression. If you are a bit worried, then just choose a small clutch with fringes, it will be a statement piece.

Jil SanderCargo Pants and Pockets all over.
These could be put as 2 different trends, but for us, they go hand in hand. Roomy pockets added to trousers of any kind were all over the runways in Milan and Paris. They are paired with belts with tiny purses, ideal for a credit card or lip gloss. Some brands use classical, large cargo pants with many pockets and some are adding pockets to more classical styles. They put together elegant tops and high heels with super casual pants to create a bold and statement ensemble. To be honest this is the trend you must add to your look this season. Multi-pocket cargo pants will be the ultimate style on all the streets. It’s like bringing the warehouse to the runways. Surely it was a very bold move from designers, but it worked out so well. Everyone loved this trend, maybe because it’s so simple and makes us feel just normal, comfortable and practical same time. However for those who don’t want to wear cargo pants just choose a cargo skirt, seen at Miu Miu or Louis Vuitton. You can even go for the elegant version of this style, as presented by Chanel, a tweed version.
Spotted at: Dior, Miu Miu, Diesel, Givenchy, Coperni, and Chanel.
The Goddess Dress.
This trend brings us a lot of inspiration and is the most elegant of all I have seen on the catwalks during Fashion Week. I am speaking about the Old Hollywood era, a Greek goddess in a classic long dress. A tailored, simple, elegant, elongated dress is a choice for more elegant occasions. With the accent on the waist, dropped, in many colours or classic white and black, sometimes even transparent. The idea is to add glam and simplicity to the elegant dress. To create a fresh, stunning look that will make us dream about the old times. Add some sexy touch to the classic silhouette and highlights the body curves.

Liquid Gold Trend
This trend and colour are usually associated with Fall /Winter Season, for SS 23 designers decided to surprise us with total gold, metallic gowns. They play with different fabrics and designs. Mix and match with black or create a monochrome metallic look. It’s shiny, rich and looks expensive.
Spotted at: Chanel, Alaia, Altuzarra, Diesel.
As always with love
