Are you wondering which trends are best to wear this Fall-Winter 21/22 season? It is hard to choose from all that the fashion industry prepared for us. Designers were very creative as always, but this season they produced more realistic designs. Ready-to-wear designs are more functional and respectful to the changing world. Trends that work for every style and age. As always this season will make us dream and let us be inspired by fashion. There is optimism found in the fabrics and colours. There is also a more sustainable approach to fashion on the catwalks and on the shelves. Sustainability is more and more visible in fashion. Brands that are not fully sustainable try to add more and more designs to their collections. They experiment with new fabrics and recycle them. Fall-Winter 21/22 trends are designed to shake up a bit this season and surprise us with bold designs. Of course, it’s hard to keep up with all of the trends. That is why I selected 2, that can be easily adapted in daily life. They can be worn to work, shopping, stroll in the city or a dinner. You don’t need to be worried that they will be only one season items, as they will stay with us longer. Without further ado please check the hottest Fall-Winter 21/22 Trends curated by Bella Zofia.
Fall-Winter 21/22 Trends: Faux fur
To wear on not to wear fur it’s always a question and an individual choice. However, for those who are more conscious and respectful of the animals, brands created many options. Fall-Winter 21/22 season brands elevated the artificial furs and now they look more real and are very cosy and soft. Until now usual lifecycle of faux fur was only 3 seasons, which left a lot of room for improvement. New designs are meant to stay in our wardrobe for many seasons in perfect shape. It is all thanks to big progress in the development of the new fibres and productions methods. Thanks to that faux furs are going to appear more and more on the runways and on the streets.
I found so much inspiration in the Chanel collection. The designer was inspired by Chanel’s fall 1994 collection, which featured conspicuously fake-fur suits and coats.
She said that she had been watching Jean-Baptiste Mondino’s iconic 1985 video for Bryan Ferry’s “Slave to Love,” featuring the fabulous models Christine Bergström, Marpessa Hennink, and Laurence Treil.
said Virginie Viard, creative director of Chanel.
Fall-Winter 21/22 Trends: Knitwear
If there would be only one trend that you need to adapt this season that would be Knitwear. It comes in many shapes and colours. Dresses can reveal skin or cover everything. There can be soft separates or head-to-toe knits, including hats and socks. Warm wool or cashmere is perfect for cosy sweaters or skirts. You can create a look from comfy to sexy, as new knits can enhance the silhouettes and look elegant. Yet again in Chanel, the collection we can see that collection is inspired by “ski spirit”. There are many Norwegian sweaters worn with skirts, trousers or shirts underneath.

We can find many of this also in the iconic Danish brand Baum und Pferdgarten. Their Fall-Winter 21/22 Collection is called: “COASTAL COMMUNITIES”. Layered and trans-seasonal silhouettes are inspired by nautical performance wear. The traditional maritime attire and those “too good to be true” pieces are often found in a rural vintage shop.
Baum und Pferdgarten is a sustainable brand that cares about the planet and people. In Switzerland, you can find it in Globus.
Loved by many Swedish Brand By Malina, created a knitwear collection where sweaters, leggings or scars are made with their iconic print. According to the brand you can find absolutely anything made with knitted fabrics and find multiple ways of pairing it.
Go for a long-sleeved knitted top for colder days and a knitted pike when the weather is allowing bare arms. Discover knitted skirts, knitted shorts and knitted pikés and knitted long sleeves tops in the most magical and comfortable fabric. Combine a knitted top with a matching knitted skirt or style it with a pair of jeans.
Another Danish brand that is sustainable and has created a large collection of knits for the Fall-Winter 21/22 Season is By Malene Birger.
‘A lot of beauty can be found when you just look close enough’ begins Head of Design, Maja Dixdotter,
when talking about the inspiration behind By Malene Birger’s fall 2021 collection.
Fall-Winter 21/22 feels like a maximalist’s take on bohemian minimalism. There are oversized and elongated silhouettes and exaggerated layers. Very clean and authentic, yet altogether bold. There is knit on knit, texture on texture, tone on tone. All is effortless. This season is a space where those blown-up details come into their own, creating a beautifully bold visual cacophony. The result encapsulates By Malene Birger’s creative, feminine, and free ethos. This season is a call to stop, look, and embrace the bigger picture.
I hope that you liked my edit and you will be able to create your Fall-Winter 21/22 wardrobe with these inspirations.
