Since a while I dreamed about super Parisian stay during Paris Fashion Week. I wanted to stay in a historical boutique hotel with an Eiffel Tower view. When I started to look at a cozy hotels in Paris I saw Le Dokhan’s, I first noticed it wonderful historic heritage, that was just perfect to what I wanted. I felt in love with a beautiful Belle Epoque style, art pieces on the walls, romantic ambiance and oldest Champagne in Paris. I was event more excited about staying at this hotel with my friends Anna and Marzena than about Paris Fashion week. This doesn’t happen often as I am a huge fashion weeks lover since over 2 decades. Milan Fashion Week has come to an end, but before moving on to Paris I wanted to share with you some of my favourite street style moments in Milano. I loved this fashion week so much. It was nearly like Covid is not exist, especially comparing it to SS21. Back then, there was nearly no influencers and no physical shows. Milan’s showgoers this time showed up and were dressed like there is no pandemic. There were so many outfits to admire and I loved it. It really felt like I am home. For me Italian fashion is and Milan Street style is some of the most inspiring, so I was happy. I would see that people just enjoyed being dressed again. The style was more expressive than before.
Relais 2 Pini is the ideal oasis to enjoy sunny days in Capri. It is located on the other side of the Capri island… a very charming Anacapri. This area of the island is a must-visit place. It’s a dream place with a soul and the most beautiful streets, buildings and views. It’s a bit calmer than Capri itself and more relaxed. Ideal for a getaway to this iconic island. Relais 2 Pini is a place deeply rooted in the island hospitality scene. Their history starts with Giuseppe Ferraro who owned a pasticceria in the Piazza Vittoria, later renamed Bar Due Pini. In 1999 his Swiss wife Elisabeth and daughter Gulia transformed the old vineyards into the Residence. Today the place is run by their grandchildren Guido and Augusto. Andersen Boutique Hotel is a family-owned Boutique hotel in a trending Vesterbro district. I truly enjoyed my short stay in this hotel during Copenhagen Fashion Week. I loved many things about this place. However what was most appealing to me at first, was the prime location. Everything was either in a walking distance or required 1 or 2 metro stops.
Hotel Schweizerhof Zermatt is not a typical mountain hotel that you can find in Zermatt. It is a lifestyle, modern luxury and charming hotel in the heart of the Alps. Next to the iconic Matterhorn mountain. This year it was already my 3rd visit to this idyllic village. However, it was my first during the summer. I have previously experienced the wonderful hospitality of Michel Reybier hotel during my stay at Mont Cervin Palace in January. That is why this time I was excited to return to Zermatt and stay in another hotel belonging to the same group. I was also happy to try some summer activities for a change and spend some quality time with my family. In this blog, I will not write about the winter aspects of the hotel, ski rooms etc. For this information, you will have to contact the hotel directly. What I will include in my review will be as always: the ambience, room, food, family experience and overall feeling. Without further ado let’s dive into my review of Hotel Schweizerhof Zermatt.
Eleventy Milano is an Italian brand that grows rapidly and each year opens new boutiques worldwide. Brand was founded in 2007 by Marco Baldassari and Paolo Zuntini. Their niche is an affordable luxury with a strong attention to sustainable aspects of fashion. Their Motto “First Class made in Italy” means that all garments are made in Italy. The group is outsourcing the production within their network of best specialists from Puglia to Veneto region. Fabrics used in their collections are environmentally sustainable and traceable.
Absalon Hotel Copenhagen is a lovely family-owned Boutique hotel that has been my home away from home during CPHFW. It was a short stay for me, but absolutely charming and most comfortable. I enjoyed a lot its location, rooms and cool Copenhagen vibes. There was also fantastic Danish design, yummy food and happy staff. However there is much more to my stay than that. Hotel Royal Evian is the most impressive hotel around the Geneva Lake. It is located in the famous Evian-les-Bain, the ultimate wellness destination since over 2 centuries. Visited by royals, celebrities and elite from all over the world. I have already stayed in Evian 2 times in the past, but this time my stay was so much different on many levels. Mostly because it was a truly family experience and a short but sweet revitalization getaway. I was surrounded by French-Style Luxury in the most idyllic setting, between lake and the mountains. The inspiration for Cristina Ortiz’s SS21 Collection called Mediterranean Pleasures (Lights, Nature, Sensations, Colors of the Mediterranean) is an imaginary trip along the Mediterranean coastline and I had a pleasure to speak with designer herself last September and find more about this dreamy line. SS21 collection was focused on a chic and easy off-duty look, designers featured plenty of everyday staples in high-end fabrics and as usual white, neutrals, light pink and blue, but also some black pieces. Crisitna Ortiz was inspired with ceramics, white houses, earth colors and she designed clothes with and idea to create versatile pieces that could be ideal for work at home, aperitif or holidays and women will feel comfortable in their Eleventy’s fashion staples. As always they feature some architectural shapes, classical lines and some modernism. It’s all about relaxed attitude, enjoyment, focusing on the moment and slowing down.
