A wonderful calm seemed to settle over Milan Fashion Week this season. The weather was gorgeous, clear skies made the fashion capital of Italy even more beautiful than usual. It was la dolce vita for me and other people who came all over the world to embrace the wonderful atmosphere of the Fashion Week. For me everything was even more lovely, as it was my birthday and I got to spend it with my family and friends. Even my little boy Jean-Paul was there with me ( and it’s not his first fashion week and he is only 17 moths).
My takeaways from the MFW
I could write forever about how wonderful it was get into the fashion scene of Milan, but in this post I will only choose 3 top takeaways for me.
1. Bottega Veneta FALL 2019 Ready-to-wear
Fashion Show was held in a clear tent in Piazza Sempione, just next to the Arco della Pace. The sun was shining and spectators were enjoying the show by sitting on leather cushions. This show was a debut for new creative director of the brand, 32 year old David Lee, who respected the heritage of Bottega Veneta, but also added his own flavors to the collection. My take away is a black leather tank dress, simple, yet bold and sophisticated.

2. Ermanno Scervino
This fashion show took place in an old palazzo by Corso Venezia on 23rd of February and I think it was my favorite fashion show that I saw this FW. I could describe it as crystals, crystals and more crystals. Crystals on a knitwear combined with a lace slip dress and matching color tights were just such a beautiful combination. Yes, I could wear it anytime. Different layers and textures and craftsmanship of this knitwear was just astonishing.

3. Laura Biagiotti
This fashion show took place in 19th century Piccolo Teatro Studio on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I must say that I just got to know this Italian brand recently and its collection did not disappointed me. Style was dominated by monogram pieces with over-sized jackets and matching boots and handbags. However I am not only a fashion blogger, I am also a fashion show producer and in this case I must say I enjoyed the hairstyle very much. I am actually wearing it right now.
