Each season all your brands overwhelm us with their soon-to-be must-haves. There are so many items to choose from that it can be a bit frustrating. I have closely watched the catwalks during Fashion Weeks and spoken with stylists, designers and buyers. They all highlighted the same trends. These choices are not only short-term trends, but these items will also stay in our closets for longer. Because the only thing we don’t want is to buy trending items that will last only for a month. Is that correct? We want to look stylish, yet according to the trends. However, we need to buy mindfully and choose items that will last. In the last trends article, I spoke about flower power, fringes, and utility fashion. This time I also added the hottest footwear- ballerinas, see-through designs and asymmetrical looks. So let’s make some room for the new items and choose options that will spark joy on our faces and the people around us.
Ballerinas – Spring/Summer 2023 Must-have.
Ballet flats have always been around. the trend of these easy, effortless, and elegant shoes is coming back this season. The ultimate must for spring/summer days. They are now trending in all kinds of forms, leather, with laces, satin and silk shoes. All these styles are not only popular in the street styles and influencers’ feeds but also featured on the runways. We could of course spot them at Tory Burch show, who creates them forever, but also at Chanel, Jacquemus, Sandy Liang and Simone Rocha. Sometimes delicate and romantic in the form of floral satin and dainty straps, or chunkier, metallic versions with treaded platform soles. Although they are simple if you know how to style them you can create a beautiful chick look. Let us show you the ones we adore.
See-through materials for Summer.
This summer will be all about soft fabrics that flow in the air and create a bohemian look. The touch of the soft silk chiffon or organza on the skin will allow us to feel amazing during hot summer days. It will also create this effortless- chic look that is not easy to achieve. You can wear this style during your next holidays in Amalfi Coast or Ibiza. The sheer trend started last spring and is still one of the strongest. Also one of the most wearable trends. You can put the sheer dresses over other clothes, swimsuits or if you feel bold lingerie. So you can recreate a new look by adding a see-through piece onto your already-existing, fully-covered outfit. Enjoy this trend and play with it, you will see that it’s fun to experiment with it.
Asymmetry and cutouts trend.
When it comes to the cut of the dresses, tops, or skirts asymmetry is the key! As seen on the runways of designers like: Bally, Loewe, Alexandre Vauthier and more. To nail this trend look for feminine shapes and don’t be scared to show a little bit more because this trend is flattering to all body shapes. Every body type can wear this trend with a success, you can just adapt it to your silhouette, your style or preferences. You can wear it during the day in the form of an asymmetric top or body suit and go for bold options in the evening. Depending on how you feel, you can make it more glamorous and seducing, but remember never reveal too much, so look elegant.
