Spring Summer 2024 Trends
We are finally saying Adieu to Winter clothes and layering. It’s time to embrace the new season, sunshine, new coffee added to the Starbucks menu and new make-up palettes from all beauty houses. Last year during my trip to MFW and PFW I watched many trends and I selected 6 that I believe will be very visible on the streets and social media. I also think that some of these trends are easy to put together, as you don’t need to invest in new clothes, just find matching styles in your wardrobe. For example burgundy colours, or light blue. We all have something in our walk-in closet that will match these trends, the same with the sheer trend or metallics. So let’s play with the Spring Summer 2024 trends and let’s enjoy it.
Table of Contents
1. Burgundy overdose. Spring Summer 2024 Trends.
On the runways of Spring/Summer 2024, designers showcased the timeless allure of burgundy in a myriad of captivating silhouettes and textures. Pencil skirts, sleek tailored blazers paired with trousers or shorts. Accessories adorned in burgundy, from leather handbags to suede pumps. This rich colour will add a touch of luxe refinement to every look, proving that this hue knows no bounds when it comes to making a statement. Seen on Gucci, Valentino.
2. Baby Blue
The color of serenity and sophistication: is icy blue. Colour that has a calming effect and this sweet innocence in it. On the Runways we could see this delicate shade on the soft blouses, flowing dresses, and tailored separates. Of course also on the accessories and adding an air of understated elegance to the looks. Whether worn as a soft accent or as the focal point of an ensemble, icy blue emerges as a refreshing alternative to traditional spring pastels, offering a contemporary twist on classic elegance. Seen at Fendi, Givenchy, and Stella McCartney.
3. Sheer overdose
This trend features the art of subtle transparency. Tulle, mesh, and chiffon in delicate forms will be seen all over this season. Designers have elevated the concept of layering to new heights, offering a delicate balance between concealment and revelation. Sheer fabrics such as chiffon, organza, and tulle take center stage, creating ethereal silhouettes that float gracefully with every movement. They appear to cover body like a cotton candy in the sweetest of shades. From blouses layered over camisoles to sheer skirts. The beauty of sheer layering lies in its versatility, allowing for endless combinations that cater to individual style preferences. Seen at Dior, Chanel, Hermès, and the Prada.
4. Roses Power
Spring Summer 2024 trends are all about roses and romanticism and femininity. Inspired by the enchanting beauty of garden blooms, designers have embraced the rose motif in a myriad of ways, from delicate floral prints to intricate embellishments. Seen on dresses, jackets, power suits, or statement accessories, roses add charm to spring styles. This trend celebrates the eternal allure of nature’s most beloved flower, inviting fashion enthusiasts to immerse themselves in a garden full of blooms, romance and beauty. 5. Tailored Shorts
In Spring 2024, shorts take on a fresh and dynamic role in fashion, offering a versatile sartorial expression. Embracing a wide range of lengths and styles, designers reinvent this classic wardrobe staple with more polished and grown-up version . This season, shorts are elevated and structural. The point here is to pair them with a great blazer or wear them with a statemtrnt belt. Shorts emerge as a key player in the spring fashion landscape, embodying the spirit of effortless elegance and laid-back sophistication. Seen at Dolce & Gabban, Fendi, Gucci and Versace.
6. Metallics
If you bought some liquid gold or shiny silver looks for Christmas, the good news is that you can still wear it during SS Season. Sequins, Mettalic and shine is not going anywhere and adds to the styles luminosity and futuristic edge. Designers explore the interplay of light and texture, incorporating metallic finishes into a myriad of garments, from sleek dresses and tailored suits to statement accessories and footwear. This season, metallics transcend their traditional eveningwear connotations, seamlessly transitioning into daywear with effortless sophistication.
